This one was… interesting! Enjoy my reaction/discussion to the OFFICIAL Werewolves Deep Dive Livestream + more revealed in tweets afterwards! Official links for credit below!
Yep! That's one of the Tier 1 abilities
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
They are a part of the lore for Werewolves' history. You can learn more about them via the new collection, and from talking to different folks around town!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yep, next week!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
It's part of abilities! Scavenger is a lower tier ability available early on that lets you dig special things up from the ground (like collectibles!), and once you have Scavenger you can unlock Tunneler further up the ability tree. Conor spoke a bit about it during the stream!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
No, for packs there are the Wildfangs and Moonwood Collective. However if you have Get Together there is a new rule for clubs that will allow you to make it Werewolf only! This will allow you to make similar groups via the existing system (without the benefits/values aspect)
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
She is! There's a really cool bacsktory with the Volkov family 🙂
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Only Werewolves can join a pack!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Mooncasters are part of Werewolves' history!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Body hair will be coming in a base game update soon!
No new lot traits or challenges!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yes, it requires a special Dormant Ability to get more info 😉
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
That's one… avenue you'll have to wait to head down😉
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yes 🙂
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Frogs related to some potential branches of underground tunnel explorations. Maybe you'll stumble upon them! (also near Greg's house!)
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Only one Alpha per pack!
You can select any ability from any tier you've unlocked (with a few exceptions that require prerequisite abilities)
And no, they won't die of anger from Rampaging!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
I believe so? But @SimGuruConor can explain it better 🙂
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Body hair is coming in a base game update in the future – stay tuned!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
No off lot plaground equipment, but children can become a Friend of Pack and interact with pack hangout spots!
Yep! You just have to become a normal Sim first.
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Mooncasters are a part of Werewolf lore/history!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
You will have to discover that while playing thru them 🙂 Don't want to spoil it
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
It'll be on the spooky radio station in game!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
You can definitely marry Rory and Kristopher!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Lots of fun interactions for children and toddlers! Especially cute ones related to the moon!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
no LOL
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Thank you!! 🙏🏻
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Bonehilda deserves better than to be some rawhide chewtoy y'all come ON
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Only those 2! but you're free to make clubs with Get Together that have a werewolf only rule! There won't be the same interactions, benefits, hierarchy, etc. that you get with the 2 packs in Moonwood Mill, but it's still an additional way to play.
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
And yes there can be conflict and tension, if you so choose…
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Frogs related to some potential branches of underground tunnel explorations. Maybe you'll stumble upon them! (also near Greg's house!)
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Lunar cycle & one version of the small telescope are big parts of it!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Provoking Greg/losing a fight to a werewolf are good ways to contract Werebies…
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
You can become the alpha/leader of the existing packs! It's part of the gameplay. And also baked into a couple of the aspiration stories 🙂
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
The packs, with their unique identities, have their hangouts in spots that reflect their values/vibe. They also are on opposite sides of town, so the established hangouts are really a part of their identities/territory!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
I heard you were looking for these? 🙂 pic.twitter.com/6EdEJiHkWN
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
It appears like that in Sims' inventories and when placed in the world. They make great decor!!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Moonwood Mill is filled with TONS of usable areas outside of the lots – Pack hangouts, howling point, underground tunnels, Greg's shack, sparring grounds, lake, etc. Fewer lots allowed us to jampack the world with gameplay & stay within the time/resource constraints of a GP. https://t.co/fRGQlrX2L4
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
The world itself feels big and there's so much to do as you explore it. It feels very alive + lots of fun to play in 🙂
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
yes I can definitely share some over the next week! For now you can see it featured in the trailer, as well as some of my previous tweets.
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
They don't affect the weather necessarily, but are included as part of the UI display/on the calendar!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
yes that's something @SimGuruMorgan has said before, the world almost feels open world when you play through it! You can do so so much even while technically being at your home lot.
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yes, and it's chock full of werewolf lore!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yes, very similar! The idea is to create an overarching story arc for your Sim
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Try provoking Greg, or losing a fight to a Werewolf, or try exploring the underground tunnels a bit…
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
Yes!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 10, 2022
You also need Lunar Epiphany to investigate relics from the new collection, and learn the history of Moonwood Mill & Werewolves they contain! Didn't get a chance to cover this in the stream but I'll be tweeting some tidbits about the collection next week 😁 https://t.co/twMuDAu1ED
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 11, 2022
No hidden lot, it's an activity/means of transportation around the world. Also tons of goodies and lore to be found down there!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 11, 2022
Dormant Ability!
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 11, 2022
Mooncasters are only part of the lore surrounding Werewolves and Spellcasters.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
I always love the lighting coming in from that roof!
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
They're so much fun! I wish we could have delved into them more. I was impressed by how well they tie into the other features and intertwine. Ex: Digging ability lets you find rare books that can give you the lunar epiphany ability, which then can unlock rare recipes.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
The Lunar Symbols aren't only in books! There are some lunar glyphs down in the Underground and there's even something on the sign. Lunar Ephiphany is always one of my must-have abilities for lore discovery. https://t.co/ZuMDRm6ndS
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
This one is afro-textured. I think there are ones with similar shapes, but we wanted to make sure this asset was available to everyone for free as part of our ongoing efforts to provide diversity in CAS.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
Agreeing with what @SimGuruNova said. I will note though – Lunar Cycles update lighting at night, depending on the current moon phase. Full moons = brightest, new moons = darkest. When it's cloudy, the sky is still darker, even on a full moon.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
My favorite is "Reticulating Lupines." @SimGuruNova 's creation. 💚
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
There's some interesting Vlad lore in this pack for sure! Won't say where~ or with whooooo…
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
That's so neat!
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
There are 22 Temperaments total! (Which is a ton of variety!) 18 will appear naturally, and there are 4 unique ones that you can get when you use the Lunar Howl ability to re-roll your temperaments. https://t.co/02kLqumu8o
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
There isn't – though we have the ability to do that now! pic.twitter.com/mnrrZUIEgj
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
All worlds that make sense. For example: there isn't a lunar cycle in the magic realm. But most worlds are updated to have lunar cycles and will going forward as well.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
Those teeth looked very canine, so the Werewolf teeth are for Werewolves only at this point. We did allow the vampire fangs to be used on Werewolves though if you have both packs.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
Yes.
— Morgan (@SimGuruMorgan) June 10, 2022
No, however you can place inventory-able things in the area 🙂 pic.twitter.com/4XyR1QrfOE
— SimGuruAsh ✨ (@SimGuruAsh) June 10, 2022
It does exactly what it looks like!
— SimGuruConor (@SimGuruConor) June 10, 2022
Exactly!
— SimGuruConor (@SimGuruConor) June 10, 2022
Pretty standard rules, with 2 werewolves you can get a regular werewolf, greater blood werewolf, or a dormant werewolf (basically skips a generation)
— SimGuruConor (@SimGuruConor) June 10, 2022
Werewolf things are a more natural for Greater Wolf Blood Werewolves, and have increased XP gains.
— SimGuruConor (@SimGuruConor) June 10, 2022
— SimGuruNov-AWOOO (@SimGuruNova) June 11, 2022
Wait until you see all of debug too 🥵

I’d like to apologize for the language used here – we should have said “larger” or “more prominent.” There was no intent to be hurtful, but language matters & it is clear that our words had a hurtful impact and for that I’m sorry. We will strive to do better in the future.
